The Project is located about 250km northwest of the Capital Hanoi, about 190km upstream of the existing Hoa Binh Hydropower Station.

Period: 2005 - 2012

Description: The plant has six turbines with a combined capacity of 6x400MW to turn out a average electricity output of nearly ten billion kilowatts a year.

Estimated annual output (kWh): 8-9.2 billion (Vietnam News Brief Service - 2005).


Scope of work:
- Manufacture downstream flushing gates.
- Install hydro technical equipment, penstocks, electrical and control devices.
